Who doesn't love soft, clean baby like skin? Well I of all definitely need it right now. My skin has been acting absolutely crazy these past few weeks and I really don't know what is going on! I thought I had finally gotten rid of the nightmare that was acne but it made yet another comeback and this time it's back with a vengeance. Now aside from being so dramatic, I really have been breaking out around my chin and what better product to use to clear out the dirt than a mask?! This time though it's not just any mask, it's my beloved Glam Glow which I'm sure many of you have heard about it.
Let me just start off by saying I am absolutely in love with this product. It is a little bit on the pricier side and retails for about $60 and can be found here but it worth every penny. I feel like I say that with every product I review but this product is seriously worth it. I'm not gonna lie I was initially scared of trying a mask because I didn't know how my skin was going to react. *Side story* A while back I actually tried the St. Ives Apricot scrub after reading so many rave about it and it was a NIGHTMARE. I broke out all over and it took about a month before my skin finally started to clear up.
I can't really describe the smell of this, but it's nothing strong or unbearable. The consistency is just as it states; it feels like mud when first applying it but dries to, well, dry mud almost kind of like cement. I would say to use about a tablespoon amount for your face and even your neck and I start by applying this on my problem areas which include my nose and anywhere I'm breaking out. The only downfall is that it dries out a little bit too quickly in the container but just add a couple of drops of water and it's as good as new. Let's look at a before and after pic before I start explaining how it feels on the skin.
On the left, I had just applied the mask while it was still wet. The thinner the layer, the quicker it dries but start off with a little bit thicker consistency so it's easier to spread. I waited about 10 mins for it to dry completely (pictured on the right). As the jar states, it has a tingly sensation as it's drying but I love the feel of it because it lets me know it's working. On the face, it takes about 30 mins to dry completely and once it is dry, just rinse it off with warm water and voila! Fresh, clean skin bright and ready for ya! I do this about once a month because I don't want to over exfoliate my skin since I use my clarasonic and a gentle face scrub regularly. The next day my foundation goes on so smoothly and I get an over abundant amount of compliments (which usually never happens) on my skin EVERYTIME I use it because it really does make my skin look radiant. My fiance even loves it and actually asks me if he can use it!
So the round up:
- about $60
- not easily found it all stores
- lasts quite a while in the jar
- dries out a bit quickly but can still be used
- takes about 30 mins to completely dry
- tingly but doesn't burn or itch
- would not recommend for dry skin as it is an exfoliant
- has a strong smell, but nothing that is irritating
- radiant skin is shown immediately
- smaller pores
- results noticeable after the first use
Hopefully you all have made it this to the end of this review! Now tell me, have you tried this before? What is your favorite face mask?
